The Wisdom Centre is pleased to present a three-week series looking at Parker Palmer’s A Hidden Wholeness: The journey Toward an Undivided Life. In each session, we will view and then discuss the videos that complement his best selling book of the same title. In the first session, we will consider the soul and our all too common failure to create safe spaces for it, leading us to live divided lives. In the second session, we will explore the idea of circles of trust and clearness committees as safe places where the soul might show up. In the last session, we will explore how, by working to integrate our internal life and living an undivided life, our efforts will ripple into the world.
The sessions will take place at St. Laurence Anglican Church (5940 Lakeview Drive SW) on Tuesdays, February 7, 14 and 21. There will be both an afternoon session (1:30-3:00) and an evening session (7:30-9:00 pm). There is no cost for these sessions but please register by emailing The Rev. Anna Greenwood-Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org and letting her know which session you will attend.
Participants may choose to acquire and read the book, A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward and Undivided Life, or you can simply attend without reading the book. If you’d like to read more about Parker Palmer and his work, please visit The Centre for Courage & Renewal
