Our event will begin on Friday evening public lecture to be held at the Calgary Central Library hosted by the Wisdom Centre and the University of Calgary 2022 Chair of Christian Thought Iwaasa Lecture. The lecture will be followed the next day by a one day retreat hosted by the Wisdom Centre. You will be able to participate in the retreat either in-person or online via livestream. (The Calgary location for the retreat will be determined and shared closer to the event).
For the first 150 to register for the Saturday retreat, your fee will also include a reserved seat for the Friday evening lecture (November 4). Once we reach 150 retreat registrations, people interested in attending the public lecture will need to register directly with the library when they open registrations to the public. If you are only interested in attending the lecture you will also need to wait to register with the library.

About Pádraig:
Irish poet and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama’s work centers around themes of language, power, conflict and religion. He is the author of four books of poetry and prose: Daily Prayer with the Corrymeela Community, In the Shelter, Sorry for your Troubles, and Readings from the Books of Exile. He presents the podcast Poetry Unbound with On Being Studios, where he also has responsibilities in bringing art and theology into public and civic life. From 2014-2019 he was the leader of the Corrymeela Community, Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation community. He is based in Ireland.
