Save the Date!

The Wisdom Centre is pleased to announce that Matthew Wright will be with us in April 17-20, 2018 for a three-night retreat at King’s Fold Retreat Centre.  During this contemplative retreat we will look together at the Gospel of Thomas. On Friday, April 20th at 7:30 pm, Matthew will also be giving a public lecture at St. Laurence Anglican Church.

The Reverend Matthew Wright is an Episcopal priest, a Sufi dervish of the Mevlevi Order, and an initiate in the Ramakrishna Order of Vedanta. As a writer and retreat leader, he works to renew the Christian Wisdom tradition within a wider inter-spiritual framework. He has worked with and been influenced by past Wisdom Centre speaker Cynthia Bourgeault.

Matthew writes a monthly column, Belonging, for Contemplative Journal and serves as priest-in-charge at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Woodstock, NY. Matthew lives with his wife, Yanick, alongside the brothers of Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY. Watch video clips of Matthew here or read a more detailed bio of Matthew here.

We will open registration for the retreat and public lecture in early 2018. We expect the retreat to cost $500 for a shared room (3 nights’ accommodation and meals included) and $650 for a single room. All rooms have a private bath.
